Logistics scheduler job description12/7/2023 ![]() Provide operational back up support for Site Production Planner/Scheduler by tracking raw materials, notifying team of potential issues such as late arrivals or shortages and proactively developing solutions to avoid production disruption.Cross trains and act as the back-up for the Transportation Planner and Production Planner/Scheduler when neededand providesupport overall Logistics department and assist other positions within the plant as needed.Identify and implement process improvements that capitalize on inventory cost reduction and improve customer service through the use of inventory management best practices.Analyzes and evaluate performance, inventory cost and freight cost trade-offs to provide optimal shipping decisions.Utilize existing or develop new production inventory reporting,product on QC Hold, SMOOSI and complete inventory analysis with focus on production inventory reporting accuracy, timeliness of receipt posting for inbound materials, outbound shipment depletion, evaluate reports for negative ATP situations and past due PO’s.Liaise with customer and subcontractors to ensure proper planning.Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes such as forward operating base closings, property disposal, order management, accounting, and shipping.Plan and implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements based on diminishing demand.Analyze all aspects of the program’s logistics to determine most cost-effective and efficient means of downsizing workforce concurrent with military downsizing and withdrawal.Develop and publish comprehensive plans for support of withdrawing forces from assigned area of operations.Contribute to the development of Olympic operations software by organizing data, reporting and performing user acceptance testing.Working with the Senior Manager, Olympic Logistics, establishing requirements for crew catering pre and during Games Time.Working with the Senior Manager, Olympic Logistics to understand the requirements for a crew uniform. ![]()
